Where does funding for the following come?


  • Films-Films get their funding from things such as DVD purchases and they also collect from television distribution contracts on various domestic and following TV outlets such as payperview and satellite stations.The main funding for films is from the production company they get their money from things such as advertisements and sponsors for example Marvel superhero movies such as spiderman homecoming will make the majority of their money off things such as merchandise and cinema ticket sales as it is such a big company.Indipendent film company will use as many sources as the can find such as loans and crowd funding in order to gain funding.


  •     Tv programmes on Commercial channels will get their funding from things such as advertisements and oversees purchases also one time subscriptions will also fund these tv programmes,Tv programmes such as sky will have monthly payments that will fund them.


  • The BBC are funded by the government however they have to meet requirements that are set in order to receive the funding The licence fee is £150.50. The BBC must cater to all audiences such as deaf audiences they will have to have sign language programmes



  • Newspapers-Newspapers are funded by the government, advertisements and get some funding from sales. 



  • Websites are funded through adverts and pop ups many websites have a subscription fee which will bring the website funding for example Netflix have a monthly fee in order to watch their movies.
