Pre Production process

Processes in development

7 stages of pre production

  1. Finalise a script-Need to finalise the screen play and convert it to a script this is important as it will allow the director to set up the way he wants to
  2. Story boards and shot list-creating a visual interpretation of the screenplay for the director this is important so then the director understands what he is doing and what he wants to do
  3. Find correct crew-work to get the entire team rounded out before pre-production is well under way this is important as if you have a crew early doors of the production they will have more of an understanding of what you want
  4. Location scouting-You may need to find locations that match your storyboards this is important as it will help to better the film as it will be accurate to the storyboards
  5. Creating a budget-By this stage a budget should be close to being finalised as it is the most important part as without it the production compete could run out of money too fast
  6. Find correct cast-It is important to find the correct actors for each role in order to make the film much better
  7. Rehearsals
